Great Museum to learn about veterans
This was a very interesting museum to learn more about veterans especially those from the Brevard area. The museum is set up very nice with a lot of great information. I am so glad that we decided to go inside and view all of the artifacts. I would definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area.

An excellent museum of our country's history
Enjoyed a tour here with our 4h club. What a blessing to share this history with the next generations! We are so fortunate to live in a country that stands for freedom. We must tell the stories of history so they do not die with the treasured men and women that lived it.

    Incredible museum!
An incredible museum! It is run by volunteers and all the exhibits have donated items from service members and their families. They have a separate room for each of the wars dating back to WW 1. Fascinating! A must see for anyone, even if you are not a history buff.

My husband is a history buff and he loves these small museums. This one has small rooms devoted to each war. The docents are very helpful. We were able to get around in my transport chair pretty well, too.

The WNC Military History Museum is a must see when visiting Brevard, NC. It is well planned and the displays are awesome. Start with the short video and proceed to the exhibits, Vietnam, World War I, World War II, Korean Conflict, Desert Storm, etc. Staffed by knowledgeable volunteers. Very educational as well as humbling. A lot of talent went into turning this small space into a wonderful museum. There is a small gift shop. No charge, but donations are welcome and ensure the future of this wonderful museum.

This is a great museum with displays for each military conflict starting with WW I . Very well done with a tremendous amount of display items in each of the "rooms" for each War. They also have a large library and often have presentations that are quite interesting. Handicap accessible and parking available on the street and in the parking lot behind the building.

This museum was recently opened. Local veterans collected memorabilia from every military era. People who had saved treasured mementos of service donated everything from uniforms, to weapons, to Japanese surrender flags, photographs, etc. This is a remarkable community project. Families and friends of veterans might consider visiting with children. The history in this collection must not be forgotten.
