On a recent visit to Brevard, NC my friend and I booked a private pottery lesson at Mud Dabbers Pottery. Neither of us had ever worked in pottery so we were looking forward to trying something new. The owner and potter, John, was extremely knowledgeable about his craft and was an excellent teacher. I went in hoping to come out with almost anything and was pleasantly surprised that John guided us through the process well enough that we each made three very nice pieces of pottery to call our own! Could not have asked for a more relaxing, fun experience with a skilled craftsman to lead us through the process. The two hours passed so quickly and we enjoyed every minute! It was also fun to look at the pieces that he had in the shop for sale. If you visit the area you should definitely stop in and visit John and treat yourself to a wonderful handmade piece of art!

Stopped at Mud Dabbers Pottery of Brevard and was very pleased with a large selection of locally made pottery vases, bowls, cups, serving plates, and other beautiful items. Found a rectangular small serving tray that will work well for any type of hors d'oeurve. Definitely worth the stop! Prices are good compared to other pottery I have looked at in other places that were about double the price and this pottery is much nicer!!!

Great spot. We had a couple of generations with us and everyone enjoyed it. Plenty of great gifts for people in many price points. Will go back next time we are in the area.

Well done pottery expertly presented. What a lovely shop! ANd such a treat to find a perfect gift and be able to talk to the artist that created it. Will return!

You can consider this an attraction and a gift shop in one. You can find something in many price points. It's located in an old general store with limited parking. Beside the shop is a studio where you can see and speak with an artist at work. Outside in the back is a Tired and Flawed section where you might find some real bargains.

This shop is so quaint. The items are all beautiful and had a hard time choosing just a few. Def going back to this quiet little place...even comes with a stream in the back!

I have been twice now and can say that it is worth a stop. Many pottery items available from different local potters. Small quaint shop with limited parking. Prices slightly high but I have found something in my budget each visit.
