I was inquiring about the Great Smokey Mountain Railway trips and what happens if the weather is bad. The lady said it didn't change regardless of the weather. However my point was what can you see and do when it is coming down in buckets....More

Also, and excellent book shop/gift store. We spent about 2 hours here while visiting Bryson City with family. Highly recommend, especially...More

Though small it is very interesting, and it is free. Clean restrooms. Very friendly, helpful workers when you step in the front door.

This is a nice 1-2 hour diversion: get to know the history of the area, including the Indian heritage. Chat with the helpful information staff. Get out of the heat or rain. All for free!

This is a great little museum showing the history of Bryson City. It is a must do and it's FREE. Make sure you get a scavenger hunt paper from the front desk, it makes the visit even more fun.

Was super impressed with all this place had to offer. I love history and seeing some of the items made me think of my Grandparents. Could have spent most of the day just looking.

This was a vey nice small museum. The building housing the museum is the third courthouse that the town has had, as you will learn. The displays are very informative, as are the staff members. There are plenty of pamphlets on hand, many are free...More

The museum is found in the upstairs. There is an elevator. The exhibits are well thought out and maintained. The downstairs contains a large gift shop. The staff was friendly and helpful.
