I took my kids here before attending a basketball game. As a Tar Heel alumni, it was really fun to explore the history of the basketball program. It brought back so many memories! It only took us about an hour to complete so it was a perfect way to spend the afternoon before a game.

We had planned to see the museum prior to attending the Carolina-Va Tech game that we had tickets for. Our understanding is that it was open from 9 AM-1PM on Saturdays. We showed up at 11:30 to learn that on game days it is only open from 9 AM-11AM. So, never got to see it.

As you may know this is ACC country and Carolina and Duke lead the rest of the teams.......unfortunately Carolina has had a round season but you never know they might pull out. Their museum is proof of the great coaching.

For a Tarheel fan this is the 2nd best place to be except for a game. Everything you need to know and see about UNC history is in this museum. Best of all it's free but always great to give a donation to keep it available for future generations

This visit was a slam dunk!

When looking for things to do in the area, I was thrilled to come across this museum! Being a long time Michael Jordan fan, nothing makes me happier than seeing where he hailed from. The museum was a basketball court with loads of memorabilia. So awesome to see bits and pieces of his life leading up to the man and amazing ball player he became! Many other ball players represented as well. A great place to visit!

The woman who greets you is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. This is a free exhibit and worth it if you are in town. Really enjoyed walking around and taking in the UNC hoops history. A must if you are a fan.

Walked the campus and visited the museum early on game day. The campus is beautiful. Make sure to visit the Carmichael Arena which is where Micheal Jordon actually played. The museum is rich in basketball history. Can easily spend a 1-2 hours going through it so plan accordingly.

This museum has the perfect blend of displays, word, and video. Even if you're not a Carolina Basketball fan, you'll find it really interesting and just a great tribute to so many quality people that are Carolina Basketball. Make sure you make time for this stop!

This is the best on-campus museum I've ever been too. a must visit for any college basketball fan and it's free! I didn't watch all of the videos and was still there for 2 hours. Basketball history heaven.
