I learned a lot about the City's history and transformation from textile town to financial center. The exhibits on race and protests was enlightening and very profound. The exhibits are very detailed and informative. I am glad I went.

If you want to absorb the historical context of modern day North Carolina this is the place to do it. We thoroughly enjoyed it and felt much more informed when we finished.

This museum was better than I had anticipated. The exhibits were most interesting and were presented in an excellent manner. There were some exhibits that you could interact with. There were several old films from the past that were very interesting to watch.

It was a very good museum for people of all races and ages. There were many moving and thought provoking displays that sparked conversations in this highly divided time we are in.

Our appreciation of Charlotte was much enhanced by our visit here. There was a lot of reading so I wouldn't recommend this for kids so much, but there were a couple of very informative videos and tons of other good information. Worth 2 hours.
