Don't come here without your kids &/or grandkids. Great history, many memories, fabulous teaching opportunities, extra Sunday senior discount admission. Any questions?

This museum is a must see! Charlottes history is deeply rooted in cotton, slavery, civil rights, and textiles. It is rich history presented through sophisticated multi-media techniques. The displays are well-researched, very interesting, and fascinating. This is a small but powerful attraction.

What a fabulous exhibit, well curated and narrated. The museum fills a very necessary gap in US history. I learned so much about the South since the Civil War. Well done. Allow 2 hours for reading and watching movies.

There are places in the museum to see how early settlers lived, how the south developed, what early shops looked like, how African Americans were instrumental in building the south, and how they were mistreated through discrimination and slavery. It's a very informative and interesting place to visit.

This museum was nicely laid out and I learned a lot. Very well done exhibits. Great value, too, compared to other museums.

I was extremely impressed with the exhibits demonstrating the growth of the South since the Civil War. The museum showed the change in business from sharecropping to cloth production to banking. There were interesting exhibits on the Civil Rights movement an influx of Latin American immigrants to the South. Definitely worth a visit while in Charlotte.

What a wonderful museum!! Very informative and the most amazing displays ever! We enjoyed everything about it and even the parking wasn't bad. The whole downtown area is busy and alive and we felt safe. Very clean area. Don't miss it!

This was an amazing museum - what a great surprise. We chose to go here at the last minute, and we were not disappointed. The museum leads you through all the years from the Civil War through to today in a vivid and clear manner. We were delighted with our visit.
