We love visiting Lake Norman. It's perfect for boating, wake-surfing, and jet skiing. It can get crowded in the summer and on the weekends, but it's always fun!

The lake is amazing, so peaceful. Really nice photo opportunities. We rented a cabin nearby and had the greatest time!

We were there for a visit with friends we made when my parents had a house there. It was very hot that week but the water was still cool. Not too crowded or alot of boats on the lake. Really laid back and friendly people!

We have spent half a day to go around the area. Very quite place and equipped with tables and grill Unfortunately the day was not the best for a visit (after a night snow) but the view is just great

Try Airbnb or VRBO if you are looking to rent a house. If you specifically want something right on the water make sure and specify that in your search. Good luck, and enjoy! It's a beautiful place!

There are no trains or other public transportation from Charlotte to the Lake. It's about 20 miles. You would need to rent a car for flexibility.
