We had a good time wandering around the garden. For late summer there was quite a bit of flowering plants. The wooded side of the park was interesting too. . Well marked and labeled. We enjoyed the indoor greenhouse also. Interesting displays.

We visited this gardens as part of a first trip to Charlotte, as we often visit gardens when we travel. This one is small and somewhat informal, but nice. Admission and parking is free (park in front of Parking Services building, across the street from...More

This place is bigger than expected. Although the signage could be better, once you get your bearings you may find that you prefer to be lost in their woods! The plant sale in April is the best place to purchase easy to care for native...More

My husband and I had a lovely day exploring and seeing so many beautiful and exotic plants. It was not crowded at all, so we had a leisurely, peaceful stroll through the grounds, buildings and trails.

The grounds are lovely. Lots of "pocket gardens", water, sculptures, picnic benches etc. Flowers are mostly shade variety as you are walking in a forest. BUT if you have anyone in your party that is at all walking challenged or if you are even thinking...More

The gardens were small but peaceful. Students took refuge in the many benches and birds loved the luscious landscape. The website was helpful for where to park.

It's not huge but it's very interesting and they have some fabulous plants in their greenhouses. Strange and beautiful plants abound in about 6 or 7 sections. It's like being in a jungle, tropical paradise or orchid garden all in one. Good job.

We started out before it was raining but got caught in the rain. It was a fun place to see what they have done. It is in the middle of the campus. The greenhouses were also fascinating and people very friendly to explain things. Also...More

We visited the garden on May 2nd. There are some parking spaces across from the greenhouse. You do have to ask for a permit at the Parking Services. The greenhouse is not comprehensive but still nice to see. The best part is the Susie Harwood...More
