We came down to enjoy a day at the library and see the Mr. Potato Head exhibit. We parked in the library's garage which was free for the first 90 minutes and $2 per half hour after. The boys loved looking at the books, playing Legos, and roaming around the Mr. Potato Head exhibit. My kids were 6 and 3,... More

ImaginOn is a really unique library with great staff and a play area that's good for kids 5-10 yrs. There are several theaters that show lots of children's plays and my daughter has enjoyed them for years.

We were here for the day with our grandchildren and just happened on a production of "School House Rock". We had thought the performers were going to be children, but they were not: Excellent production by very professional actors and musicians. The theatre is big, tiered, and probably not a bad seat in the house. The plays are shorter in... More

We were visiting Charlotte and hoped to spend an hour or two at the library, and then head to the park. Once we were there, the kids didn't want to leave! My oldest discovered another book in a series, she hadn't read and spent 1.5 hours reading the 300+ page book, cover-to-cover. My youngest daughter participated in 2 story times... More

A very good trip for small children, teens, and families. A place to let your imagination run free. A good place for birthday parties, teen gathering and meetings. Theater, skits and interactive displays are everywher. The center is handicapped accessible and presedesterian friendly. Fun for the family with good parking near and good presedesterian access.

This is not only a wonderful open air, creative, and fun library space - It's also the home of the Children's Theatre of Charlotte and their School of Theatre Training for elementary to high school students. My family has enjoyed many wonderful productions through the years since we moved to Charlotte - starting when my kids were in preschool. And... More

My kids (6 years old) could have spent the day here! We ended up spending about 1.5 hours exploring the books, board games, activity centres (puppet centre, magnetic poetry wall, ball track on the wall, map carpets with cars, Lego), Ipad games/apps…and this was just the 1st floor. My little ones didn’t go upstairs, targeted toward teens where they had... More
