Worst play I have ever seen and that includes all the high school plays. There has to be more talent in Charlotte than what we saw tonight. We actually left at intermission because it was just too painful to sit through another hour!!

I've enjoyed the Actors Theatre of Charlotte for quite a while now. I am surprised that there are not more reviews of this place. In fact, I just added the first photos that this place has had on TripAdvisor. The theater location is very convenient. you are able to purchase alcoholic drinks and snacks for the show. The lobby is... More

My husband and I always enjoy coming to the Actor's Theatre and have seen a variety of shows there. We love the easy parking, the laid-back atmosphere, and the fact that we can bring our drinks (they do take debit cards for drinks now) into the theater. Although it's general admission, we've never had a difficult time finding seats for... More

This theatre is just down the road from the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Check the schedule before you make the trip to Charlotte for what is playing because this is really a theatre worth checking. It only seats 187 general admission. We saw Cougar so if you plan on taking children check or call what the play is about. People... More

Went to see "The Great American Trailer Park Musical". The show was awesome - very well produced and I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. My bar drink, while pricey, was ...generous, to say the least. It lasted the entire show! :) We will definitely be back - we had a wonderful time and felt very... More

This is what live theater should be. Really good professional productions in an intimate setting- Have seen both their plays this summer- both excellent, especially River City which ranks among the best plays I ever saw anywhere, including Broadway and London.

This small and very intimate is the perfect place to see a play, up close and personal. We say River City by Diana Grisanti. While the play was good, it seemed to suffer from too much set on too small a stage. That's the Director's fault, not Actor's Theatre, but it did strain the story. I liked the venue, wished... More

I've been a flex pass holder for 6 years now and it is one of the best deals in Charlotte. This small theatre puts on some great productions - in a great, small & intimate theatre. The flex pass allows you to pick the date you want to attend as each production occurs - I've seen some amazing productions and... More

I'm always impressed with the talent, but truthfully, I usually like about one, maybe two shows a year, although I go to most of them. The shows are often weird, and I leave the playhouse scratching my head. This place has enormous potential. I love the cozy atmosphere, and again, I'm always impressed with the acting, just not the content.... More
