If you like historical homes and want to learn more about one of Charlotte's old families, this place is for you. Guided tour, inexpensive, and pretty much right in the city.

We spent a nice day at Rosedale plantation. We took a very informative tour and wandered the flowering gardens. A nice place to visit if you have a little time in Charlotte.

We were there on a Tuesday so the home wasn't available for touring. The grounds were quite nice, though not really that extensive. Azaleas were in bloom and that was probably the highlight of the visit for me.

As one of the earliest homes in Charlotte this is very interesting. The tour guide gave a lot of information on the plantation, its owners and the lives of those who lived here through the years

Arrived when 3 bus loads of school children had just started a tour, joined one of there groups and went thru the tour. Children were well behaved and tour guides did a great job keeping the children interested.
