We went on the 1 hour ride which was just enough for us. A very nice ride through the woods and across a stream. Carly, our guide was great as was the rest of the staff that we encountered. I would highly recommend this stable.

The stable is well-tended, the horses are well-trained, and the staff is respectful of people, of animals, and of the national park lands. My favorite part of the ride was crossing two streams, both going and coming. I also enjoyed the remote feeling of being...More

Our guide was excellent. He was so polite and patient with us. Explained everything as we went and addressed us with yes ma'am, no ma'am. Beautiful scenery. Horses are very well taken care of. Would highly recommend.

I believe they can,, we didn't have any young children with us so I am not certain, but they are quick to email you back or call the number on their website. It was an awesome experience- we had a great time.

I am planning a trip to Cherokee, N.C., and I am looking for things to do while I am there. The horseback riding reviews have been awesome, and I think that my family would really like this activity. I have not been on a horse before, and the only thing that makes me a bit nervous is that one of the reviewers commented that it was not for the faint of heart, because the the trail at some points was close to the edge of the mountainside, looking straight down the side of the mountain. Is this your opinion as well? I believe that the reviewer had taken the 2.5 hour tour to the water fall. Just wondering how close the riders are to the edge of the mountain side?!
