Overview
More
This 1,200-acre park was once the estate of William Neal Reynolds, brother of tobacco businessman R.J. Reynolds. The Reynolds willed the Tanglewood property to the citizens of Forsyth County to share as a public recreational park. The combination of its streams, woodlands, and grassy pastures with the traditions of its architecture, horses, gardening, and wide range of recreational activities make Tanglewood an ideal countryside park to visit over and over again.

Tanglewood park is great. Lots to do. We rented one of the cottages and I wish I had stayed in a hotel. They were $150 per night and definitely not worth the money spent. The smell almost knocked us over and it was furnished from...More

We stayed in one of the 4 cabins. If you like rustic the cabins are where it is at. You feel like you are in the middle of a forest while not far from the highway. Again rustic is the word here. The cabin reminded...More

We go here each year and watch the Christmas lights. Each year they change it just a bit (for the better, especially the driving time portion) - The lighting is fabulous, and there are so many different styles/types of themes it's hard to keep up....More

Every trail in this park allows bikes. There are miles of bike only trails but none for pedestrians only. I have been a regular at the park for many years and numerous times I've had to leap out of the way and drag my dogs...More

We came here for the wine festival but couldn't stay away, returning the following morning before leaving town. What a lovely place for a quiet stroll before a long drive home! We're hoping we'll be able to use the campground for our next visit.More

I can't emphasize how crazy the line getting into the park can be. There's no reason for it. The traffic plan is just a mess. The park itself is beautiful. We love the BMX park.

Hello! There is a shopping center across the street from the park that you should be able to park in as you combine vehicles. Thanks!
