A day of history

My family and I had a wonderful warm winter day at the veteran park. Paying our respect to my brothers and sisters in Arms.

Clean, quiet and honoring of our veterans. The design of pillars holding hands presents a different approach to a memorial. I found it thought proving. It is close to the Airborne Musuem.

One of the most beautiful parks honoring the amazing mean and women who have served our country. I highly recommend this to families. You can learn so much.

The day I was there was 10 days after Hurricane Matthew struck the area. The inside visitors center was closed for repairs and was told that it had 6' of water inside during the storm. We took my In Laws during their visit to Fayetteville. My Father in Law is a Coast Guard veteran & my husband a Navy Veteran. It is truly breathtaking and a beautiful tribute to the men & women who have served our country in every branch. It is a great experience for everyone of every age!

It is amazing what they have done here. You get to stand underneath your branch of service like my husband and I did and take pictures. It is just awesome and I am amazed at what they have done here and the wall that has dog tags from every soldier to serve who is deceased.

This was an exceptional museum located near the Airborne & Special Ops Museum. I would advise those that are in the area to visit and you will not be disappointed.
