Great morning with the kids sifting through buckets of dirt under the expert tutelage of Matt and Lisa. Really well run, educational and fun, and we found some good stones. Can't wait to go back.

This mine is near Cherokee and Franklin, NC. Long into their website for direction info- it's the most accurate. $25 gets 2 buckets of material and you can sit at a trough with running water to wash out the dirt and sediment. I was told...More

it is an unsalted mine so the potential is there to find what your looking for unless it's a diamond. Rubies and Sapphires are pretty abundant.
