It was cool and quite windy the day we stoped by. But there were several kite boarders out in the water so that was fun to watch. The beach is beautiful and wide so lots of places to sit and enjoy the ocean.

You will love Frisco beach. So clean, not packed, and the water is carribien blue. It is now my favorite OBX beach.

clean bathrooms, with ramp and stairs leading to them, nice flat sand great for walking, clear water, would recommend!! Our favorite beach that we visited on the OBX

After visiting Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, I drove down to Frisco Beach for a walk. Being January, there were not very many people around, but it was an unusually mild day, so I was able to get in a mile or so walk and this beach was gorgeous. It is particularly suitable for colder weather because much of the beach is tightly packed sand that is easy to walk on with casual shoes.

We stayed in Frisco and loved this beach. Great waves, easy parking and access to the beach itself, bathroom and shower as well. Plenty of space to roam on the beach.

Visited Frisco Beach based upon other reviews we read and it lived up to the hype! The waves were strong and rapid so playing in the surf was fun. The dunes were gorgeous with lots of long grass and crab holes everywhere. We parked by the public restroom area and there were two lifeguards on duty. There are showers to wash off near the bathrooms.

Great beach. The water was aqua like the Caribbean. Too bad you need a four wheel drive to get to it without walking.

Great wide beach but not a secret any more. Becoming harder to just find a spot unless you go early or late.

natural beauty, flat access, and practicality of nice restrooms, easy parking, handicapped friendly. with lifeguards you feel much safer. many beaches are not guarded.

How do you get out to Frisco Beach? We're on OBX, looking for shells. Went to below where the pier used to be yesterday. The only shells there were the small coquina shells. Parked near restrooms with a handicap ramp up to it and then out to the beach. Is the place you're speaking of? Tnx.

There are more places by the airport. Must places are acceptable by 4 wheel drive. Buxton, Avon and Rodanthe have great beaches to walk to they have walkways and parking lots. Better shelling there. Also We adventures by Tammy Grey had a boat she take u out on for shelling.

I'm trying to find Frisco Beach on Google Maps but each time it shows a different location. We're coming from Avon and are considering going to the lighthouse and the beach. Can you please advise on an address or how to find it? Thanks!

It's on your left just after Frisco Gun & Tackle Shop I believe which is attached to the Frisco Post Office. There may also be a sign for Billy Mitchell Airfield? Hope this helps.

We will be coming to Frisco soon, and will be staying at a rental property for a week near what is left of the Frisco Pier. Is it ok to set up our tent and leave it up the whole week, or do we have to tear it down and pack it up each day?

My understanding is that is to be taken down at the end of the day. That being said, I saw tents that remained standing. It's a quiet beach and most people would likely not care since there is room for everyone. My primary concern would be how sturdy is your tent? The winds can be very strong.
