I understand now why they are the number one thing to do in Hendersonville. My 4yo really enjoyed the place, as we did as well. Definitely worth the stop.

We found this Gem shop in a brochure. Our 12 year old grandson is crazy about rocks and Geode's. Nice air conditioned shop. There is a small Koi pond in the center of the building with lots of fish and even 2 ancient Koi that...More

Thank you for the nice review! Our koi pond is fun to observe. There's about 10 koi and 20 gold fish in there.

A bit pricey for what are essentially rocks (25 dollars for a bucket of rock and sand that lasts about 15 minutes). However, our seven year old enjoyed it.More

"Sand and rocks"... that's what we do. Our rocks are emeralds, rubies, amethyst, garnet and many more from over 25 mines throughout the world that collectors of all ages collect and keep forever. We have less expensive buckets as well , however, our most popular...More

Thank you for the detailed review! The positives are right on! Most kids LOVE "walking the plank" if it rains. As far as the goat food goes, if it was a quarter, our goats would weigh 1000 pounds. Then folks would pay $10 to see...More

My group went to one of the mines and I'm trying to take my youth group to the same one. The mine we went to several years ago also had a trail to walk through and some of the kids actually were sluicing in the stream. I was wondering if this were your place. There are 32 of us and was also wondering if you gave church discounts or large group discounts. Any help would be a blessing!

Hello. We do have a stream and occasionally folks look for gems there. We do have great group rates. Give Heather a call and she will take care of you!

Hello! I don't know of any NC gem mines that let you use a pick axe. Maybe Hiddenite but finds are rare. Most people there use backhoes. Good luck with the search.
