A short ride from Highlands NC, it is a must if you are visiting the mts. The parking lot has been improved but is smaller. The steps down to the falls have also been improved. When you walk behind the falls it is misty, dress accordingly. There are many photo ops at and around the falls.

Walk down and then behind these roaring falls and enjoy the beautiful views. Easy downhill walk and a nice area that can accommodate many people.

A gorgeous waterfall with easy access close to the parking lot and a walkway that takes you under the waterfall. I'm not sure why they called it dry. There was enough water going over the cliff to power a small town.

My husband and I visited during the fall and the fall foliage was beautiful. Wear comfortable shoes and layers of clothes for hiking. We went to all the falls in Highlands. All were well worth the hike.

This waterfall is very easy access off of Hwy 64 between Franklin and Highlands. This road is narrow and curvy and a bit scary to drive, but well worth it. The falls can be seen from the road. There is free parking to enjoy the falls, but I can imagine that the parking lot may get full at peak times... More

Great little stop along the road to see these pretty waterfalls. There's an accessible pathway, and you can walk all the way down to the falls.
