The Holden Beach Pier is likely to be purchased by the Town of Holden Beach. It is unknown, at this time, if the pier will be repaired or removed. If it is removed due to the potential for extensive damage that has yet to be assessed, nobody seems to know if it will be replaced with another pier or not. Nobody knows!

Run down, needs new management. Seems like the owner does not care about quality and cleanlyness. Could be upgraded with a great resturant and make a bundle of money.

I loved staying at this campground & pier. Extremely friendly staff even gave our little girl a gift to make sand castles. Campground is directly next to the dunes on the beach, pier costs $1.00. You can see the ocean if you stay on the top right side of the RV lot. Great beach clothing shop& ice cream next door. Felt like a very secure area if you want to enjoy plenty of beach time. No golf carts available to rent and no playgrounds but perfect place to get away and enjoy the sun.

Dear Holden Beach fishing pier, Please seriously consider:
-keeping your pier open at least until 10pm, especially on a Friday night, for out-of-towners who save and plan all year to come support your business and community!
-provide working fish-cleaning stations with running water!
-improving your customer service
-lowering your price per rod
-adding rod holders...come on man!

We had a wonderful visit. We live on the island, but we rarely fish off the pier. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to give it a try.

We arrived a little early for our vacation rental, so we walked out on this pier. Only $1 per person. We saw a few people catch fish. We enjoyed hanging out there and taking some pictures.

We enjoyed our time on this pier and around it's base. They have a cute little setting for photo ops - which we took full advantage of. Our walk out on the pier was a sweet, enjoyable time here too, watching the waves and what people were catching from the ocean then.

Definitely a place where we would stay again, because you can't beat the location! The park also had what we wanted and expected. Located in the beach side of the main road, right behind the dunes.

RV park in what appears to be the middle of Holden Beach among some really nice beach cabins. Park is very small, and we were thankful for the spot we had, which we thought was a driveway. The power is good. Water and sewer hookups compensated for the lack of bathhouses. Not sure about laundry, because we didn't need it.

This place is for those who want beach access, because this is no swanky resort. Lots of families frequent this spot and everyone here has been extremely friendly.

Pets are welcome here. Location is bike friendly, with sidewalks adjacent to the main road where pedestrians and bikes share the sidewalk.

No WiFi or cable, but we did catch around 20 channels with our HD antenna.
