The mine tour is a total waste. Way overpriced even with a Groupon. The gem stone mining is more fun for the kids even though its a bucket of rocks with a few colored ones thrown in

We had such a great time visiting this neat museum and mine. Not a huge place but it is packed with a lot of information. I especially enjoyed the display of rocks found on sight. The sluicing area across the street was a lot of...More

The staff here were super friendly. They have an awesome assortment of old artifacts that was so interesting to see. The kids loved touring the mine and of course the gem mining was a special treat. Will return again.

We spent few hours here at Emerald Village going through buckets of sand looking for rocks. 1st time gem mining---we all had fun. Placed my collection of "gems" in my outdoor potted plants where I can enjoy them always.

Interesting place to stop, was very kid friendly. Staff suggested other area places to visit and were very helpful in giving directions to other towns, even insisted on hand-drawing a map! Nice little gift shop that had inexpensive gifts children could pick out - many...More

Started off as a fun family trip, ruined by a staff members bad attitude. While gem mining with our 7 kids this guy approached my 2 oldest sons out of no where saying "What are you, 2?! Act your age", he jerked the trays out...More

We are very sorry this one brief experience overshadowed all the other good things at Emerald Village. My staff corroborated the disruptive and unsafe behavior of your two children while you wordlessly watched. When faced with disruptive or unsafe behavior on the part of guests...More
