I came across this place on a website and decided to check it out. It was not your everyday stop for gold & gem mining but was a place where people who did this ALOT were on hand to show us the way to correctly look for gold. Then we tried our hands at the gem mining. Both seemed like... More

Stopped in for the afternoon and panned for gold. Great little spot. Nice people, excellent food at the cafe. Spent the day panning through a bag of dirt and found a nice gold nugget! Great family activity!

This is a neat place for kids. Like most children my 9 year old daughter finds panning for gold and looking at gems to be supper cool, This was a great stop for her. The staff was very sweet to here and informative. A pleasant experience.

Bad experience. The adress is oncorrect or the place doesn't exist. It's a residential street. Do not attempt it.

This place is a little rustic but worth a stop. We panned for gems and the kids loved it. It was an easy activity for everyone to do within 30-45 minutes.

Quaint little place. We had never panned for gold before so thought we would give it a try. Roger was very helpful in teaching us the correct technique. Very friendly staff.

Wasn't sure at first when pulled up, but turned out to be a great time! Three kids- 6,8&11- they loved panning on gemstones. $10 each. Got tons of stones...they brought them back to RV and played with they for hours. Cheap entertainment with educational value!

This is one place that we always visit when we`re in Marion. If you like to pan for gold you`ll enjoy this mine. You can pan under a covered area or go an sluice in the, so called, river. It`s more of a stream. Or you can highbank further on down at the pond. Not expensive. Good clean fun.

Went in June, had an awesome time. I don't think I want to become a gold miner. Did the $15 bucket found very little gold, but my friend found what they call a "picker". I wish we had tried the high banker though, maybe next year. We had a great time. Everyone was very helpful. I think everyone should experience... More
