My husband had his hair cut here and said "That's the way haircuts used to be!". For only $10, you can get a great haircut, including a hot towel treatment, neck shave with a straight razor and shoulder massage. The place is very friendly and well worth a visit.

The barber shop is located on Main Street near the other establishments. It is still in operation. We watched the barber in action. The sign out front tells you how fun this place is. Wish we could've stayed longer and interacted with the barber. I would've loved to have heard some Andy stories.

If you are a true fan of the Andy Griffith show then this is a great place to visit. Mount Airy is the actual town, but there really is The Mayberry Mall. The whole town is set up like the show. The bluebird cafe, the sheriffs office, Floyds barbershop and Wallys gas station. Around the corner is the actual house... More

The original owners son continues his father's legacy. Be ready for some down home story telling and a pretend haircut with photos. I believe a real haircut us available on a limited schedule. I'd call ahead for that. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We spent at least a half hour chatting.

Stood out front to take picture and before you could say Floyd- the owner invited us in to take picture and see all the pictures and we listened to stories. Had to buy the great tee shirt!!! And for the next two days when we walked by he waved....that is local small town 👍🏼

Went in like most to see the shop and maybe take a picture and walked out thinking that we had experienced Americana at its best, What a joy to hear Bill tell stories of the past and share his love for his father and passion that his dad had shared with so many people before his passing. Bill wants to... More

I was attending Mayberry days and decided to get a haircut at Floyds barber shop. Lana did a great job and there were some real "characters" as well. It is an oldtime barber shop that will bring back memories for men that remember "real" barbershops. Well worth the stop.
