Beautiful trail system, excellent maintenance. Trails were easy and flowy, well marked. Porta Potty located at trail head with a changing room.

The title really says it all. Had a nice 5mile hike around the lake, linking up three trails....Homestead, Paddy's and Mill Creek Loop. We didn't see one other hiker the entire time. The trail is marked moderate, but I think that is a little harsh....More

Enjoyed one of many trails. Lovely lake access for swimming and lounging. Trails well maintained and friendly staff Weekdays offer almost a solo trail experience

Just got an updated Lake James State Park map. They have 30 boat-in camping sites where you can secure your boat. The sites are from L1 to L30 and is on what is called the Long Arm Peninsula. Not sure about beaching your... More

This depends on which of the camping area you are talking about: hike-in, boat-in, or drive-in. (I don't know if they all have a lot #18.)
