In this hallowed ground, ceded to the UK, rest four crewmen from HMT Bedfordshire, sunk with all hands in May 1942 by a German U-boat. A Memorial Service is held each May by U.S. Coast Guard, who tend the Cemetery with the assistance of citizens...More

Just four graves, but interesting cemetery given the location and circumstances of their deaths (German U Boat).

Cemeteries are great snapshots of local history, and this one offers a reminder of WWII history and how close the war came to our shores.

Fascinating history behind this cemetery. The British Flag flies above the graves. Very touching. The one place in America, I believe, there the land is owned by Great Britain.

The cemetery was a short walk from our hotel and provided a good perspective on the island's history. Nothing special, but worth a visit.
