If you’re looking for giant waterfalls, this ain’t for you but this is a nice hike and a pretty view. This is also cool because you can actually climb down and go behind the falls, just be careful because it’s slippery! It’s a good trail...More

This hike is about 3/4 mile each way. It is not paved so careful of stumps. Few minor hills but totally doable for most people in decent shape. The falls are absolutely gorgeous! Our kids walked down in the falls to touch the water. Safe...More

In Pisgah Forest 1) no fee to enter road; 2) decent parking to hiking trails 3) easy hikes for families friends etc. The forest road is beautiful -- sometimes full of people going too fast, but easy. Park on side in some designated parking, but...More

The falls are pretty, but I didn't love them. We went in early November during a drought though, so the water was a trickle and didn't impress me. Maybe during wetter seasons, they could have been a lot better. The hike isn't too difficult, and...More

Great falls. Unique and fun for the kids. We went to Looking Glass, then Moore Cove, then Sliding Rock all before lunch and no crowds! Dahlias just outside the Forest entrance is a nice lunch spot.

We had visited this area on several occasions, but still like to go back. The hike is easy compared to others, I was not even breathing hard on the return trip. The falls do change depending on the recent rainfall; it can vary from a...More

Beautiful falls that you can actually touch. Cove behind is cool. A bit of a hike in but we were able to do it in flip flops - we hadn't expected to do any hiking that day. Relatively even ground but expect some incline and...More

Moore Cove falls is located via a .75 mile easy-moderate trail of the Pisgah National Forest Parkway. A favorite for children and pets who get to scamper on the wide flat rocks splashed by the waterfall. Good family fun.
