I work a block away from the Legislative Building and walk over quite often to get a meal or salad to go. It' pretty busy when the legislature is in session but you have a better selection of food.

I enjoy going there as a tourist. Maintained well and the hearings are educational. It is a nice place to visit . And see government legislature at work.

Even though many elected officials, lobbyists and school groups visit and use this building to see lawmakers in action, don’t miss this architectural treasure trove of skylights, indoor fountains, polished brass and vintage modern furniture from the 1960s. Walk up the stairs with the plush red carpeting. Walk out to second floor balcony and look onto Centennial Plaza. The building... More

I enjoyed seeing the Legislative Building. You can go upstairs and look down into the current house and senate chambers. Worth a short visit.

The Legislature Building is a unique building with lots of excesses. For example inside it has gold plated drinking fountains and an air conditioned and heated garage. Has a snack bar and cafeteria downstairs. Lots of school groups visit. Go to the museums across the street instead.

We stopped in on a whim while touring some other attractions. We were treated warmly and given nice information by the greeters. The building was fairly quiet, and we wandered around admiring the view, nice marble, lovely gardening and water features as well as state history informational displays.

Our legislative building is somewhat unique but would not win any architectural awards. It is kind of boring and not very inviting.

This building is full of asbestos and North Carolina politicians. Not a good place for your kid's class trip.

While in downtown Raleigh, I saw the Legislative Building and decided to visit. The staff welcomed me warmly and provided me with information on a tour. It did not take long and since the legislature was not in session, it was nice and quite. Since new to the State of North Carolina, I had a chance to see both the... More
