While the buildings are interesting, it is the setting that makes the hike worthwhile. The buildings are well preserved. The Stone mountain view from the road just beyond them is one of the best perspectives for the Arch and similar features.

Beautiful old homestead. Great printed explanations throughout the site to learn the areas history. Amazing views of the mountain.

Very pretty area at the base of Stone Mountain. Great walking area, climbers can climb the rock, lots of trails around there as well.

A must see on a hiking trip. What a wonderful view of stone mountain. The history of this place is great.

A great place to stop at and to see how a family really leaved. It is in a beautiful setting. You can read about the family that really lived there, and sometimes a family member is there to tell their story.
