Great ride, but not the best in the area. There are a lot of great rides. Scenery in this area needs to be seen. If you are riding in this area make a lot of stops as when riding you better miss the scenery. When we went my wife decided to ride with me instead of her own bike so... More

Be careful out there. Remember that bikes don't have crush space around the occupants. KEEP to the right side of the line

Where people take their sporty cars and bikes to take on the 11 miles and 318 curves on a stretch of scenic road. It is best to go on a weekday but it seems the drivers and bikers alike are well behaved so it is a fun time. Visit the shops at the start and fire up your engines. It... More

Oh yes this road is so much fun it is hard to believe, perfect asphalt (with only some cracking southbound), corners upon corners, and every kind of bike and rider you can imagine!!!! BUT....don't forget that this road is on many bikers and car drivers best road list too....there were hundreds of bikers at Deal's Gap when we were there... More

This drive is so fun my husband and I have visited on four different trips. If you like Beautiful scenery and a challenging drive, this awesome stretch of road is a great place for you to enjoy both. Just be careful as it is also quite challenging. Most days photographers set up along the road to take pictures of you... More

318 Turns in 11 Miles. Lots of fun if you like this kind of thing. Two photographers generally working everyday to capture great pics as you drive/ride by. But please be careful to stay in your lane at all times. Too many serious accidents because of careless drivers.

The Tail of the Dragon is a very interesting. Beautiful views, lot and lots of curves. We might do it again. You have to drive it carefully in a car,but if you are crazy enough, ride it on a motorcycle or a slingshot. When you reach the end you are not disappointed.

I am both a sports car and motorcycle enthusiast. This is one road I decided to drive before taking my bikes on it. More people should think this way. It gave me the perspective I need to go back and ride it safely. (To be honest this is the first time I have ever approached something this way. I guess... More

I rode challenging roads with more curves, i.e. the Mae Hong Son Loop in northern Thailand (600 km, 1,860 curves), but the 'Tail of the Dragon' is one fantastic, great motorcycle road, no doubt. Be careful, if you're too fast it could ruin your day (I think I read somewhere 4 death as of Oct. 2016). Roadside photographers are taking... More
