The museum is now located about 9Km North of the city. Bus 56 stops right outside, Bus 44 around the back and about 100metres along and bus 30 about 1Km away. Beware of a taxi ride out to this location, as many locals don't know...More

The museum has moved to a brand new location. A beautiful facility. Lots to see but we got there later in the day than we expected. There were also government officials on site and we were restricted from going to certain areas. What we saw...More

Shame on the museum, they didn't inform the public about relocating the museum. I wasted an hour driving to the museum, only to find out that it was relocated to a different adress (5 & 4 street). Subsequently, I drive to the new museum and...More

If you are the museum type you'll like it. There was a pretty cool exhibit there when I visited which covered the building of the canal project up in Anyang. That was the highlight of the museum for me. Then going to see the canon...More

These three 500-year-old stellae are the only material remains of the community, though there is also a living community center in...More

The Kaifeng Museum is fairly small but has some interesting exhibits, including pottery, bronze, coins, and calligraphy. The exhibits are laid out and lit for easy viewing, although there are very few notes in English. There is also a changing exhibition; when I was there,...More

Sadly, this museum is only small and difficult to find due to poor signage. The only English sign outside refers to a 'Teaching Base', so it is best recognised by two old cannon outside the main entrance. Even the man on the gate asked me...More

For a city with such an amazing history, I was disappointed that there was not more to see. There are a few artifacts and a lot of pictures. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more if there was English. I'm guessing the best artifacts...More

There are 4 floors of artifacts found around China and in Kaifeng. One is a stela in Hebrew. There was a Jewish presence in the city until fairly recently, and the museum has a couple of artifacts documenting this. The museum is well-worth visiting, especially...More
