Not an overwhelming site, but a pleasant walk. Some good vistas and interesting photo ops. The tower has pictures of old Changsha leaving you to marvel at the many changes since. Other opportunities are in the area. Down the hill from the tower is the Changsha Fine Arts Academy. The day I visited the tower there was an "antiques" market... More

This is a cool old tower. Inside you will see lots of old pictures of Changsha and the tower. Not much is in English but it's cool to walk around and see the grounds. Someone is usually playing old instruments around there, it's a cool addition to the ambiance. There's a beautiful park around the outside that's fun for elementary... More

Probably not really worth the price of admission. But it's something to do if you are in Changsha and have time to kill. Was interesting seeing the old city walls. The 4D movie that plays every hour was lame.

This is a nicely kept historic site. There are plaques telling about the history, some are in English but most are not. If you can't read Chinese this is more of a place to enjoy all that you see rather than expecting to read about. You will see old pictures of Changsha, which I enjoyed. My husband and I enjoyed... I decided to visit the Tianxin Tower as it was within walking distance from Changsha’s shopping district. The tower is located on top of a hill. The entrance fee is 32 RMB. I found the walk to the tower to be more interesting than the tower itself. As, the local buildings surrounding the tower are currently being restored to reflect... More

Located on top of a hill, one can get a reasonable view of Changsha city. There are many display on history of Changsha, Chairman Mao, and the several wars. A city of "three nations" vintage, it offers good historical value.

Lived in Changsha for 5 years, I thought this was one of the most beautiful historic ancient buildings in Changsha city. It's where Mao Zedong second wife Yang Kaihui was executed by the Chinese KMT nationalist in 1930.

The Tianxin Tower looks quite simple but the historical events and stories make this place special. It consists of gates, wall, garden and the tower itself. The tower looks more like any other traditional Chinese building, like a temple, not high but beautiful

The Tianxin Tower is a symbol of Changsha. It is a building complex sitting in the Tianxin Park. The old city wall was originally built in the West Han Dynasty (around 200 B.C.). The current wall was built in the late 1300’s of Ming Dynasty. The tower/ pavilion might be built in some year near 1700. Then the whole park... More

We went to Tianxin Tower on 13 September 2014 by tour group. The place was not so crowded with tourists. We walked through the lovely gardens. We walked up the steps to the the tower and old walls. It was historical. Our group went to a room to watch 4D show about a historical Chinese story "Three Kingdom". We understood... More
