We spent half a day in this area of the park and loved it. Great views and no crowds at all. If we had more time we would have hiked up and down, but opted for the tram up and hike down.

As everybody heads towards other areas of the National Park because of the Avatar movie the village has been a quite calm and peaceful spot to observe the Mountains. I recommend it for those who wants to enjoy the view peacefully.

It's great place while visiting the park. The bus rid is well organized and there are beautiful view of the Krast at the foothills. The people in the village are friendly.
Our tour guide told us that if you don’t visit Huangshizhai, you can’t claim you have come to Zhangjiajie. Hiking on Huangshizhai is a great challenge but flexible. It is totally worth it.
