Standard looking mosque. Bit decrepit. Might mean more to you if you are a Muslim or have a knowledge of local history.

The mosque is nice and well kept although I think the management was a bit unfriendly. The architecture of the mosque has some unique elements and some the elements of a typical mosque. Muslims are allowed in for free while non-muslims have to buy a ticket.

The only good thing about this mosque is that it's a good landmark for you to find some really good food stalls on Niu Jie that sell awesome Hui halal food. The mosque itself is rundown and depressing.

It's very beautiful outside, but obviously the management need to improve because many unrelated objects are placed inside, in addition, there's not much things to see inside, I stayed less than 30 minutes.

Looking at the pictures, the place is much nicer then in reality. If you are tight on your schedule, you do not miss out if you skip it.

While we were hunting for a Bank of China in the city, we happened passed the Nanguan Mosque which was pretty enough with its fountains and aspect to take a few photos. We did not venture inside, as we were on a mission to change currency and sadly had not time to return during our stay to explore more.

I think it is most attractive in the evening, just before dark.
