If you're walking from the town I would recommend for you to bring water. We went by foot to the catacombs since our GPS didn't had a route to the closest parking place. In that day the temperatures were really high, and we felt it plenty. The catacombs can be visited with a guided tour, I don't remember how much... More

Loved this little place. We also went on a free day although I think its relatively cheap anyway. There was a short guided tour and the feel of the place was very atmospheric. Didn't take long and we did as part of a visit with lunch to the fishing village of Klima. Great to see all the little caves on... More

Timing was perfect - entry was free the day we visited. We weretaken on a guided tour through the catacombs with explanations given. An extensive underground area but not all open to the public.

We visited the catacombs on a chilly windy day on Milos. The walk up from the road to Klima was quite a hike but a much better experience than parking in the parking lot adjacent. These catacombs date back to the 1st century AD. A guide gave us a mini tour with a detailed explanation of the history We found... More

Fun walking tour of the catacombs, where we were able to see three different sites that had dozens of two moons where the Catholics set up a temple in the middle of the catacombs for prayer.

These are first century Christian catacombs. The tour is short - 15 minutes - but it is interesting and worth seeing. Don't forget to also go up the road to see the Ancient Roman amphitheatre, which is also worth seeing as it is is excellently preserved and restored. This is the area, apparently, where the Venus de Milo was found.

There was nothing really special about the catacombs...if you were expecting to see something similar to the ones in Paris or Peru, then this is not it!! Also the admission increased to 4 euros....it takes literally about 10 mins to see the whole place (including semi guided tour).

I was glad we came here because otherwise I'm not sure we would have gone to the Ancient Roman Theatre or known how to walk up to Panegia Tourliani at sunset. The catacombs were fine. They aren't really very big and if you've been to other catacombs in France or Italy it's not really comparable. If you are short for... More

Yes very worth seing it of course, a few stairs to reach it but vey ineteresing to see. When i visited it back in 1997 it was a lot smaller, they found more tombs as they closed for a few years to do so
