Look no further and just book Aldo for your Tour of Trapani and more of Sicily! Aldo is the REAL DEAL (his last name is really Trapani!) and when we were planning our trip to Italy to find my husband's roots in Trapani, I came upon Aldo here in Trip Advisor. I first booked the Walking Tour on the evening we arrived in Sicily. We flew into Palermo and he told me he could pick us up from the airport too.From the moment he emailed me I could tell he was an honest, sincere, passionate person and an expert about his land. When we landed, he was waiting for us outside and we all instantly became BEST FRIENDS! My husband speaks Italian and Aldo and him bonded immediately over their Trapani roots. We were shown where my husband's Grandparents lived and everything else about Trapani there was to know. We covered all of Trapani by foot under the moonlight and the next morning Aldo picked us us to show us the seas and views in the daylight so we could see where the Mediterranean and Tyrrhenian Seas meet in front of the Torre di Ligny...amazing! He drove us to Palermo via the coastal route where we stopped at ERICE, Scopello, and Castellammare del Golfo. We had lunch, met so many of his friends...EVERYONE knows Aldo! He then brought us directly to our Hotel in Palermo where we said our goodbyes until 2021 when he will come visit NEW YORK for the first time, and we can be his guide! :) Book Aldo, he will take EXCELLENT care of you! My wife and I visited Trapani on 14th October, arriving on Fred Olsen’s cruise ship “Braemar”. It was our first vislt. We had pre-booked our taxi tour and our driver, Aldo, was waiting for us when we left the ship. Aldo proved to be an excellent guide with excellent English, a comfortable vehicle and a passionate knowledge of his city, After a tour of the town, fish market and tower he drove to the hilltop town of Erice where he seemed to know everyone. This guy is fantastic, he is kind, funny and our newest friend. You can't go wrong. He knows the best places to eat, we had the 2 most amazing lunches while we were out with Aldo. Don't hesitate, just book a tour.
