Breathtaking views to either watch the sunrise or sunset, or both! You can see right across to Double Island.

We went to Carlo sand blow and we were amazed at what nature has done. Captain James Cook named this spot after one of his men so it has been there for a long time. If you are a walker there is a trail for you to follow but takes about 10 hours. You need to take water as there... More

Walking out of the bush track, onto the deck, of the Carlo Sandblow, my breath is taken away. Every time! Don't leave Rainbow without visiting. A truly spectacular experience, reminding you, of how small you really are. Breath taking views. The beginning of The Great Walk, from Rainbow Beach to Tewantin. Don't forget a hat and water!

The view is breathtaking and it is free!! However we were very conscious of not letting our children to run to the edge of the blow. Your conception of the limits is so unclear here, it is out of this world experience. Very windy and could be dusty at times, though. We tried sand tobogganing here and it didn't work... More

Walked to the top and sat down to watch the sun set. Stunning view. Worth the effort of a short walk but would recommend taking the car to the car park. There is quite a lengthy hill to climb.

If you go to Rainbow Beach, you'll be a fool to miss the fabulous sunset from the top of this massive dune and, if you're brave enough, go back when it's dark & no cloud cover and you will get the best visual display of stars too...stunning!

Very nice to experience this landmark which you see when you arrive in Rainbow Beach. Walked to both extremes for the photos and outlook.

Arrived around 4pm in Rainbow Beach, our Loka guide Alana came to our accommodation at 6pm to take us to Carlo Sand Blow to see the sunset. Wow it was incredible not only to see the amazing sunset but to see how the sand dunes were formed higher than the tree tops. If you are only driving through a Rainbow... More

It is worth the walk up, however, my husband found it quite difficult as he has a knee problem and there are lots of stairs.
