Entry is by donation and it is only open 11-3 I think. The building is very nice, although it is unremarkable for Burra which has hundreds of similar era buildings. Some intersection ceiling features. There are some nice photographic displays and a few interesting touches...More

Entry by donation, well worth it. Lots of photos and artefacts to fill in a couple of hours if not more. Well curated. The volunteers are very welcoming.

They have got a good photographic display of how the town came about. It is on the Main Street and easily accessible.

The history inside this building is amazing from the old council chambers to the picture movies to the stage. Great spot to learn all about the history of Burra and the region
