Zema Estate is a small family winery located in the heart of the Coonawarra wine region. The Zema family is proud of the traditional techniques they employ in their vineyard; dry land viticulture and hand pruning are two such practices, which help to produce intense, rich fruit of the highest quality. The Cellar Door is open seven days from 9am to 5pm and the winery welcomes visitors.

Zema Wines is one of the traditional Coonawarra wineries but one that still sells their wines are very reasonable prices. The staff are down to earth and not pretentious as experienced at some nearby wineries. The wines are all very good but my favourites are...More

Popped in for Coonawarra by night and had Mrs Zema's famous puzza and bought a bottle of their Shiraz. It was excellent - their Clooneys and CabShiraz's are outstanding. We love their chilli paste as well. Dont miss this one anytime you are here.

We love Zema Estate. We've been visiting here for years. The reds are extraordinary. It's a no frills place that weirdly never seems that popular. There's never much hype about the place despite the very serious quality of the wines which are reasonably priced. Perhaps...More

Zema Estate is a long standing winery in the Coonawarra. A Cellar Door tasting will rewards you with great Cabernets and some nice Shiraz. Well worth the visit

Visited here the other week after a couple of days in Penola. We were the only ones there so got great service from the lady behind the counter who was lovely to chat too. Fantastic reds and value for money. Definitely one to revisit

This is one of the standout wineries in Coonawarra. Truly great reds made by Greg Clayfield never fail to impress. The value for money here is very impressive. If you're here on the right occasion the food - homemade arancini and rigatoni pasta sauce are...More

Unlike some wineries in the Coonawarra, Zema provides great wines at very good value. Service is unpretentious and welcoming. It punches well above its weight in comparison to its big name neighbours. Also pop into Bellwether Wines for a unique tasting experience with wines from...More

6 of us headed off to the tasting tables on offer in the Coonawarra and Zema was one of 6 we chose to try. The reds are very good and well worth the trip.
