A fabulous interesting place to visit. From Art festivals to the Winter Solstice festival. It's best to look up the website for 'What's On'

I was actually impressed with the gardens and the galleries it's lovely to watch artists showing you their craft and art and their wonderful talents. On a beautiful day nice to have a little picnic basket and sit around the grounds and watch the beautiful peacocks walking around. They do have special events also they do weddings there I'm sure... Most beautiful location in Melbourne - although you're in the suburbs it feels like you are in the country surrounded by beautiful old English style buildings. Lovely to explore the gardens with resident peacock and all of the quirky artist areas - from painters, sculptors, gardeners, guitar maker, silversmiths etc. During summer the courtyard at the Boulevard restaurant is lovely... Beautiful place to visit. We enjoyed walking around the lovely gardens. Whilst the buildings date back to the 1930's it was reminiscent of Europe in the 1800's. We could see why this would be a very popular wedding venue. Charming mud-brick buildings with lead glass windows surrounded by lush gardens and trees. Peacocks and ducks roaming freely are sure to... More

Went to Montsalvat for a wedding service and reception, on arriving we had to ask at reception as to where the service was, very helpful as this place is on some area of land. Had a little look around as we went down to where the service was to be held, some very old buildings well worth a look at.... More

Really unique, well worth a visit. Unfortunately it was raining when we went. Perfect for a wedding just beautiful backdrops etc. The only negative was the restaurant due to a power failure, no fault of their own.

Have been to Montsalvat on many occasions from Weddings to Furnerals together with conference's and exhibitions. The only thing I have found that living in the area, most of the staff appear to be doing their job with no love

If you love rambling gardens, interesting architecture, art and exploring, then this is just the spot for you. Set away from traffic in the scenic suburb of Eltham not too far from Melbourne CBD, Montsalvat's grounds are bound to leave a first time visitor with a thrill of discovery. Visit frequently changing exhibitions in a series of galleries, one of... More

My sister and son-in-law and their three children had breakfast there last Saturday. All the children's requests were cheerfully met. After a delicious feast we thoroughly enjoyed looking around at the wonderful grounds and learning from the crafts people on site.
