Not only did we get friendly and useful information, but good parking and amenities nearby. Walking distance to shops. Most importantly, they have facilities to fill up your caravan with free water. This meant that we did all our shopping before and after Cape le Grand because of this. Good for us and for local business. Thank you!

Loads of information about local tourist attractions and accomodation options. Can make bookings for the bus as well as find out information regarding other travel destinations in west Australia. Souvenirs for sale and located in the museum village which has other interesting shops close by

We had hoped to do a local cruise, however staff did not even offer to contact the cruise operator to ascertain whether they were operating whilst we were in town. They provided a brochure for us to phone from our mobile whilst still in the Visitors' Centre.

Management response:

Hi Ian, the experience you had with regards to contacting the operator is not normal for our visitor centre, in this instance it is in response to a request from the particular operator. Feedback such as yours will be used in future conversations with operators as the staff are well aware that people generally prefer to be able to sort... More

Didn't visit the centre, but Esperance is a friendly RV town, you have to visit a caravan park. You can't park anywhere and camp, ridiculous when you are only staying overnight for a free hours.

Hi Nathan, there is free RV parking adjacent to (and run by) the Gibson Soak Hotel, just North of the Esperance townsite. More

It was a typical Visitor Center and provided maps and other information essential for looking around this area. This one is fairly typical .

Most Tourist Visitor Centres throughout the world provide a very welcoming and helpful service and hopefully this is normally the case at the Esperance Visitor Centre. However we were quite startled and disappointed by our visit yesterday when a young lady treated us in a cold, unfriendly and discourteous manner. Although our enquiry was simple and required no more than... More

Hi Brian, I am disappointed that you had a negative experience while visiting our Visitor Centre. On following up I have found that the staff member in question was feeling very unwell at the time of your visit and was only still working to cover for a staff shortage we were experiencing. This is no way excuses the way you... More

The visitor centre has all sorts of brochures to help you plan your visit. They could open a little earlier. By the time it is 9, I want to be on my way with the day. Espescially in summer when it can be pretty hot by midday.
