I've been to the Don Gibson Theatre a few times over the past 10 years or so and my most recent times were over the last 12 months for networking events for the Cleveland County Chamber of Commerce and The Shelby Rotary Club.
It is a very nice place with comfortable chairs and tables to sit at for meetings with plenty of space. It also has very nice and clean restrooms to use. The venue is overall a very nice and clean place. I would highly recommend it for future meetings or shows.

Beautiful facility for events and also a great location for movies too. We always enjoyed the summer movies program for children.

I have attended several events at The Don Gibson Theater. The staff is professional, friendly, and truly care about the Theater and it's tradition. The facilities are top notch. I am looking forward to going back soon!

Watch this place change Hands from the Rogers family to Charlie L Rogers beneficiary Towery M Burris-Hunt in August of 2013.
Somehow it turned into the Gibson Theater instead of the Burris-Hunt Theater. Odd when he is known to be a Grammy & CMA award winning writer producer! Music credits with Ozuna, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Derks Bentley, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Migos
The theater may have been acquired by exploitation so many people surrounding the project are hesitant to talk about it's ownership. The place was renovated during 2013-2014. Has a great feel to it, Soundsystem etc.

Hi,
I think you may be talking about the Rogers Theatre at 213 East Marion St. Shelby NC. The Don Gibson Theatre at 318 South Washington St. was in past years the State Theatre and then The Flick Theatre before becoming the Don Gibson Theatre in Nov. 2009. The Rogers Theater is a beautiful building with a rich history dating back to 1935.

I had the pleasure of seeing Local artist BJ Earl and The Legacy a Motown Revue on Saturday 2/22/20
Both were very entertaining. I highly recommend the DGT a secret that should be shared with all your friends!
