If someone hadn't told me what this small brick structure was before I got on the Fort Fisher-Southport Ferry, I never would have known what was flashing by in the distance. The lighthouse is very small and on private land, and is one of the...More

Because this little lighthouse is on privately owed property and not open to the public so you can really only see it when on the Ft Fisher Ferry (on the right as you approach Southport/on the left if your leaving ) VERY cool to check...More

This little lighthouse is no longer functioning, but still stands proud despite the fact that I doubt it is being maintained any longer. It is located along the Cape Fear river just north of the Southport ferry terminal. When riding the ferry from Southport to...More

We were on the Southport to Ft. Fisher ferry and discovered this gem, just as you are approaching the Southport ferry landing. Aside from the fact that this is there, the ferry ride to Ft. Fisher is a wonderful outing!

This lighthouse at Price's Creek is small and very old. There is nice foliage around it and the water makes a pretty picture.

Took a personal tour on board the Encore with Captain Betsy. One of the sights that we saw was Price's Creek Lighthouse. Captain Betsy and First Mate Jane provided us with a wealth of history, including this lighthouse.

You'd probably never know this lighthouse was even here if someone hadn't told you about it. It's located just before you reach Southport via the Ft. Fisher Ferry. It's very small so try to find it on your next trip!

We enjoyed looking for this little known lighthouse on the ferry between Southport and Fort Fisher. Get on the left side of the ferry when leaving Southport and you'll spot it right before the long dock.

It would be great if you could get close to this old beauty, but it is on private property and you can get there. You can see it from a distance on the ferry ride from Southport to Kure, but that is about all.
