Nice area to visit and learn about French and Indian War in NC staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the period clean public bathrooms, nice visitor center nice visit for the History Puff check their web site for events before visiting

I know they have a pretty small staff and have found it closed at lunch time before as well.

I don't think they do a set schedule,check the local newspaper for upcoming events.
