Great Local Theater

We enjoyed a performance here recently. Nice theater, comfortable seats. The actors were quite good. We would go again.

It was opening night of the newly constructed Hart new venue next door to the Haywood Theater, and what an evening! A great evening of entertainment the play "In the woods" was excellent. A large cast , well presented, an well preformed. Still a work in progress but excellent. Our only complaint was the seating chairs, need more comfortable seating,... More

We have attend several plays at the HART Theater and have never been disappointed. Most of the time, we have been to the musicals presented in the summer. My all-time favorite was the Buddy Holly Story, but I have never seen a performance there that I did not enjoy.

We are so blessed to have a wonderful facility which is about to increase with a new stage. But mostly the talent in this area is amazing. Just saw Arthur Miller 's ALL MY SONS. Such a fantastic production

We bought our tickets on line for Jesus Christ Superstar. Printed them out on line and it was as easy as that ! Arrived, found our seats and enjoyed the afternoon. The theater is relatively small, not a bad seat in the house. The talent was superb. In the very near future they will be opening another theater on the... More

This remains a hidden gem in the mountains. The performances are superb. The actors are good enough to be on Broadway. We are so lucky to have this cultural experience in our midst. One annoying issue needs to be addressed. The headphones for the hard of hearing, have a bright red light directly on the top center. Sitting behind someone... More

If you close your eyes during a performance, you would could believe New York had moved to Waynesville. Talented people abound in these mountains. They throw themselves into working at professional levels for HART. Steve Lloyd, the executive director, draws the best from actors and the wonderful behind-the-scenes crew. Every play is chosen for this beautiful community theatre is produced... More

The HART Theatre is truly an anomaly of culture in a small rural, mountain town. Performances are surprisingly good and attract actors and other talent from hours away. Designed by architect Senator Joe Sam Queen, the theatre is simply, but beautifully designed with a warm, wooded cabin feel. HART Stage II theatre is almost complete and will enable the theatre... Went to the theater last week and saw the Play "Weir". They did an amazing job for a play with no set changes, no costume changes and no intermissions. The cast was entertaining and went non stop for 1 1/2 hours. If I was a local, I would be a regular customer!
