North Carolina's oldest and largest cheese manufacturer. Watch cheese being made in our factory viewing room. Our retail store has all our cheeses available plus our fresh country butter, fresh fudge and hand-dipped ice cream. Something new for the kids (and kids at heart) is our Kandy Korner with over 150 varieties of new and traditional candies. We also have a great selection of NC Wines, and imported cheeses as well as Amish Foods.

The factory was closed by the time we got to West Jefferson so we didn't get to see the cheese being made. The shop is across the street & has lots of delicious cheeses, candy and other things. If you love cheese, don't miss this.

Wow !! Fresh locally made cheese and friendly folks who work in the shop. You can even watch them make cheese across the street.

We visited on a busy Saturday. My kids loved watching the cheese making video as well as the real life cheese making taking place at the viewing window. Then we went to the store to try some cheese curds, but some 7 year aged cheddar,...More

We stopped in near closing around 5:10 to pick up some cheese to take home. The line was very long, but there were three cashiers so I was done in less than 10 minuets.

Cheese Factory and Retail Cheese Store owned by Mike and Cathy Everhart. See cheese made at the factory and enjoy shopping for cheese and local crafts at the retail store.

This was a great place to visit. Loved looking in the window and seeing them making the cheese. Across the street was a store that sold fresh cheese, ice cream, and jams etc.

Nestled Right in downtown this is a pretty cool little area to stop and walk around. There’s a viewing area with a video going on a loop that explains how they make the cheese curds and you can watch workers making the cheese. We saw...More
