Surprised at the quality of exhibits for a local museum. Everything is first rate, modern and informative. Does a real good job of showing history of the area. Spent almost 2 hours there. Parking is behind the museum.

Although we've lived in Wilmington for many years, I'd never visited the Cape Fear Museum until this winter (2017). Shame on me! It's very well done and offers exhibits that appeal to a wide range of ages. They offer an excellent program for pre-schoolers on...More

I knew nothing about Wilmington before I came to visit. If you want to learn about this area and also some Civil War history, this is the place. They also had a special room showing movies and television shows that have been filmed here.

Very informative of the area. Quite a few different exhibits. Especially liked the space one. Didn't realize Michael Jordan had grown up here either.

We are putting together class trips for middle school 7th graders and looking at Wilmington as one of our options. We are interested in any types of discounts for a group of students? Is there a limit as to how many can visit the museum at one time? Would there be a possibility of guided tours? We are looking at 150-180 students, split into two groups that would visit at separate times. 2 minutes ago Answer
