I may be biased because I have relatives who have lived in Wilmington all of my life and I lived there for 15 years so I feel like I know it pretty well, but I have visited every major colonial city in America and Wilmington has more bang for your buck. Wilmington has Colonial, Revolutionary, Civil War, World War II... More

The attractions and atmosphere of the International Azalea Festival at Wilmington, NC , USA in April rival Savannah Georgia during St Patrick's Day! Well known bands, celebrities, and of course the downtown eateries! Walk along the waterfront in the moonlight or take one of the many riverboat rides up the channel. For the "landlubbers" there are horse drawn carriages for... More

Wilmington is quite beautiful. Very quaint and historic. Brick and cobblestone streets and carriage rides. Lots of history and lovely houses.

So much to do and all in a compact area. Every single dining experience we had was aces! Never do we have that luck no matter where we dine. Food and service, coupled with the great scenery of the downtown area made this a romantic and delightful trip and area to visit. Can't wait to return. City seems safe and... More

We drove up from Charleston, SC and had a great time! Stayed at the Wilmingtonian, right downtown and walked to so many good bars and restaurants. Wilmington is a very laid back small city and I would recommend this city to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun time

There are many places to eat and shop in this very walkable downtown area. The town is dog friendly as are many of the shops.

Wilmington is a wonderful city. The architecture in downtown Wilmington is gorgeous. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but we walked late in the evening and felt safe everyplace we were. There are many great places to eat and shops to visit. You will love the experience!

From Market st, take 15th street to the end and there is an historic cemetery worth visiting. I noticed a beautiful wind chime that was just perfect for the day I was there. And the trees and vegetation are beautiful. Some of the tombstones are just fascinating (very unique). If you park and walk, bring water because the place is... More
