With the unseasonably warm warm weather this walk has been spectacular. My wife and I have walked it twice in the past 3 weeks. There is construction but still long walks of river coastline. Lot's to do along the way from the marina to railroad museum to the Cotton Exchange all the way to great river front dining.

We enjoyed our recent stay in Wilmington and the river walk. We did a walk after breakfast and again with friends before having lunch. The views are so pretty and we met some friendly folks out for a walk too.

I lived in wilmington last year. I would go for a walk on the river walk for exercise and a great view 6 days a week.

Beautiful river side walkway. Enjoyed the many sights and shops as well as the many tempting places to eat.

Whether you choose to walk along the Riverwalk or sit on one of the benches to soak up the sun and enjoy the view you will not be disappointed. Parking is definitely an issue during peak times like during the Azalea Festival but if you're looking for something low key to do on a sunny weekend, I suggest a visit... More

The area is currently under construction but it is still worth a visit of the many shops and restaurants.

Our hotel overlooked the river walk..since it was February there wasn't much going on. But it looked very nice. I would imagine that it is hopping in the warmer weather.

The Wilmington Riverwalk was one of the highlights of our stay in Wilmington. Our Inn was just a block away and we used the Riverwalk as much as we could to get places downtown. It's very scenic with many restaurants, ships, shops, the river, the Battleship North Carolina, a Coast Guard vessel and the impressive Federal building. It was a... More

Similar to Savannah's Riverfront but on smaller scale. Nice place to relax, enjoy the breeze off of water and watch the gorgeous North Carolina sunset. Lots of restaurants and shops too. A very laid back, picturesque area.

Wilmington has done a terrific job cleaning up, building the boardwalk. It is lovely, easy to navigate, and provides unprecedented views of the Cape Fear River. A great (cheap) way to see a lot of downtown.
