Love the old remaining structures of olde, you don't get near enough of that in this country. The gardens and cemetery and trails are beautiful, and soothing. As someone who needs regular access to fresh natural places, I've always had a deep appreciation fo this place. Well, everyone needs access to Nature, some are just too desensitized, hence, to know... More

Very peaceful. It was very nice to have such a nice walk through the area. Enjoyed Old Salem more because of the home and shops.

A very nice welcome center with excellent and knowledgeable docents. The tour includes an introductory video followed by a guided tour of the Gemeinhaus ($4).

Moravians came to what would become Forsyth County and settled first in Bethabara. Learn all about this settlement at the visitor center and tour the buildings to see how the Moravians lived in this first settlement which preceded Salem. The park has special events during the year, so check the website to see the calendar of events. There are special... More

Kept seeing the signs as I was driving around with my daughter to various stores. My curiosity led us there. It is a historic settlement from early German, Movarian settlers. There is a partial fort, gardens, restored church and other buildings. Trails for walking and a museum.

An accurate picture of landscape and architecture reflecting the early Moravian life. Great walk about and doing it in a historic setting.

At Bethabara Park you can learn a lot of history about early Winston-Salem. There is also an excellent visitors center, plus it's a great place for a picnic. There are lots of trails around the park, through the woods, and over a stream. It's a great place to get your family out of doors. And you might learn something, too.

The park has a number of restored/reconstructed buildings which, along with a history center, relate aspects of the early 18th century Moravian settlement of the area.

This is the second year we have gone to Bethabara Park for Apple Fest. They had different bands playing, several booths, animals to pet, rescue birds to look at, and of course, apples. The historical buildings and gardens were open with demonstrations. Outside in tents, there were a blacksmith and pewter/silversmith. This festival is becoming a fall tradition!

Nice, semi-small park with great apple festival that draws lots of visitors. The first settlement buildings are open for tour during festival with people to give background on each building. Nice relaxing afternoon event.
