I visited Reynolda House with my daughter, who lives near the house. This is a wonderful glimpse into the life of the Winston Salem royalty. The house is lovely and the gardens beautiful. I was sorry the nursery was closed when we were there because I probably would have bought a plant! The Ansel Adams exhibit was small, simple, but... More

A visit to Reynolda House has many perks. You can learn all about the R. J. Reynolds family, particularly Katharine Reynolds, whose personal touch is evident in the design of the estate. Tour the entire house, top to bottom, take the behind-the-scenes tour if offered, and walk through the gardens and see all the estate buildings that today function as... More

May 25 was a delightful adventure with Reynolda House American Art Museum to WESTGLOW, an historic Greek Revival mansion, now a luxurious destination spa and restaurant. After seeing the Elliott Daingerfield exhibit in Blowing Rock, we toured his home and later in the afternoon, the spacious mountain home of R. J. Reynolds' granddaughter.

Love going to Reynolda house. Our favorite stop is always the free relaxing moments in time spent in the garden. Fresh vegetables, roses, fountains, benches, etc. Lose yourself in time for a few moments. Walk the grounds and the garden. A hidden gem.

Reynolda House is an interesting look at the life of RJ Reynolds and his family. The audio tour is very informative and the house is beautiful and well maintained. Unfortunately we just missed the Ansel Adams exhibition and the next one, on Grant Wood, wasn't open yet. But even without the special exhibit, the house and gardens are a nice... More

The home comes alive with the audio tour and the film that they suggest before you start the tour gives you some real insights into both the family and how they used the home.

I love Reynolda House and have been there many times. The history and art are wonderful for all ages. My son has grown up coming to Reynolda and always is game for cool exhibits, community days, or movies on the lawn. It is worth the admission to take a guided tour at least once. In the attached Reynolda Village you... More

Have made numerous trips here when visiting WS. The property and gardens are very nice. There are also several large fields (meadows) with rolling hills. Beautiful walking/strolling through the gardens and meadows. Or you can do a little more ambitious hiking along the paths behind me he meadows along streams and ponds. Iota of small wildlife. Shady and cooler in... More

We were there in July 2016 to see the Ansel Adams exhibit and it was wonderful. There is so much information about the Reynolda House and the Reynolds family. I enjoyed walking through the home and gardens and I have to say I enjoyed my experience more than at Biltmore. Reynolda is not as grandiose and it was nice to... More
