Surprisingly fun and informative. The tour guides are very interested in their work. There is much more than meets the eye here. Great place for history buffs. The view at the top is spectacular.

Going to the state capitol building was my goal to see the portrait of the late Phyllis Frelich. It is my highlight part of the visit. The building is the only high-rise in Bismarck and is pretty much away from Downtown Bismarck.

The capital has many interesting photos posted on past history, neat architecture for its era and outside landscaping is certainly something to admire.

The North Dakota capitol is not very impressive on the outside, but very lovely on the inside. It is one of four capitol buildings that is not designed in the traditional domed style (Florida, Louisiana and Nebraska being the other three) but rather more of...More

Fun time to visit is after they have set up the yearly Christmas tree. Also make a point to make it up to the top floor to view the entire city of Bismarck.
