The tour of this village was like I had never imagined. Getting to walk through the huts and temple to see how they lived and worshiped was pretty awesome. We got to see how they kept warm and the foods they grew.

This is time well spent to learn about the native American Indians of the northern plains and Missouri River Valley. They were creative, industrious, resourceful and excellent farmers. Go and learn.

We took our 3-6 grade students here for a field trip mid march. They really seemed to enjoy the culture!

My goodness I was amazed and felt like I had stepped back in time inside the village. Our guide did an outstanding job of explaining village life and answering questions. Great experience!

After a tour of the Custer home we walked to the On-A-Slant Mandan Indian village to see the reconstructed earthen lodges. The tour of this site was most interesting. They have done a good job of restoration of this area and the tour is certainly...More

This an interesting side trip when visiting the Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. The reconstructed lodges provide a good glimpse of life in a typical Mandan village.

The fee for a park interpretive pass is $6 for adults and $4 for students. That pass gets into all tours and interpretive sites in the park.
